Form III = faa'ala (فَاعَلَ)
Menentukan makna dari Form III adalah tugas yang sangat sulit. Form III sama dengan Form II, yaitu causative+noun, tapi noun di sini adalah participle (sayang, bahasa Indonesia tidak punya participle). Dalam bahasa Inggris, active participle adalah present participle, yaitu kata sifat yang berupa [verb I]+[ing] (contoh: a walking bear, a talking girl). Passive participle adalah past participle, yaitu kata sifat yang berupa [verb III] (contoh: an angered mother, a killed person)
A. Causative (He made one BE DOING that)
Bandingkan dengan Form II "he made one do that" (causative) atau "he made someone/something be someone/something else" (transformative). Form III ada yg transitif, ada yg intransitif, tergantung konteks, tidak bisa dipastikan. Kalau transitif, tinggal menambahkan with/at/to/... hanya untuk tujuan penerjemahan (memperjelas transitif/tidak), meski tidak ada preposisi di bahasa Arabnya.

'Afaa (عَفَى) = he left → 'Aafaa (عَافَى) = he saved from harm

Kalau belum bisa membedakan "I made her read that" dan "I made her be reading that"... belajarlah bahasa Inggris dulu baru belajar bahasa Arab!
